Skin lesions in the form of eruptive xanthomasas a first manifestation of severe hyperlipidemia complicated by acute pancreatitis in a patient with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes

The presence oferuptive xanthomasis associated with lipid disorders particularly hypertriglyceridemia. What’s more, intensify hypertriglyceridaemia >10 mmol/l (880mg%) is a major risk factor for acute pancreatitis. This case concerns a 40-year-old man with skinlesions in the form of eruptive xanthomas accompanied by hypertriglyceridaemi complicated by acute pancreatitis, and then diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with glycated hemoglobin 9,7 g/dl. Seeding of skin lesions appeared 2-3 months before hospitalization and was observed in the direction of molluscum contagiosum.
