Coronary artery aneurysms are rare abnormalities diagnosed mostly by the use of coronary angiography or multi-detector computed tomography. They can be also visible on transoesophageal echocardiograms. Giant aneurysms, if large enough, may be found on transthoracic echocardiography. Coronary aneurysms usually remain silent. Nevertheless, since they may result in life-threatening complacations, e.g. myocardial infarction or even sudden death, available treatment strategies should be applied.
